WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting on a Saturday Morning

Our Worship Services
We'd love to have you come to visit and worship with us. Our services are on Saturdays, the seventh day of the week and the Bible's "Sabbath day," hence our name of "Seventh-day" Adventist. We worship on that day in observance of God's 4th Commandment and because it was the day when our Lord worshiped (see Luke 4:16).
Other than that difference, our services are typical of many traditional Protestant Christian churches. We open with a familiar hymn, then we share testimonies and prayer requests, and sometimes we are blessed with special music from one of our members or friends. We want our young children to value the worship service, too, so we try to include a short message just for them before the sermon is presented.

Sabbath School
Following the worship service, we have our "Sabbath School" Bible study time. We try to provide Sabbath school sessions for most age groups, from pre-Kindergarten to High School and adults.

Fellowship
After the worship service and Sabbath school, we hope you will stay for a fellowship meal. It's ordinary home-cooked foods. Since we encourage our members to adopt a vegetarian diet (it's not required), you will not find any meat, fish, or poultry items, but the food will not be strange to you. You'll still find plenty of appetizing loaves, casseroles, vegetables, breads, fruits, and desserts from which to choose. We'll eat and visit for about 1-2 hours before going home. Occasionally we might have a special movie or music event or other activity in the afternoon or later in the evening, but usually the meal marks the end of our church day.
